The Father Christmas Grotto Experience includes a festive story read by Father Christmas. Guests also meet his Elves and real reindeer. In addition to this, each child ticket includes a present, which they can personally choose. As a reminder of your visit, they will also receive a mini Christmas tree.

Avon Valley Railway | Event details

All aboard a festive steam train ride with Father Christmas. Journey from Bitton station to Avon Riverside station and meet Santa and his helpers, enjoying mince pies and festive biscuits with a present. Photo opportunities (weather permitting) with Santa are available on the Avon Riverside station platform before the return leg.

What's included

• 1hr long (6 mile) trip in a heritage carriage behind one of our steam locomotives
• A visit from Father Christmas as he greets each family at their seat
• A quality present for each child designed for their age
• A mince pie or festive biscuit for everyone
• Our shop will be open selling a range of railway-themed gifts and souvenirs including one of the largest displays of ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ products in the local area. The station Buffet will also be open serving hot drinks and light lunches.

Meet Father and Mother Christmas in their festive kitchen at Lacock Abbey. A unique experience in a cosy setting that is sure to please our young visitors.

Mother Christmas will be telling a story and Father Christmas will be giving gifts to each child.
